Mini Lily of the Valley Pendant

Lily of the valley symbolizes a return to happiness, especially after a struggle for it. It is said to soothe heartache and is associated with the fairy realm. In the language of flowers, it also represents renewal, sprouting forth from the earth each spring even in less-than-desirable conditions, as Persephone does. This delicate and gentle bloom holds a potentially deadly secret: is is toxic upon ingestion, inducing a host of symptoms such as blurred vision and irregular heartbeat. This self-defense mechanism reminds us to protect the magic we’ve worked so hard to cultivate and to stand strong in our boundaries. I crafted this pendant entirely by hand from sterling sheet, in homage to this incredible flower. It is intended as a symbol of strength, a reminder that the light always returns, and most importantly as a beacon of hope. This piece has been blackened and polished, and a tag with my maker's mark hangs from the clasp region of the chain.
