Lily of the Valley Shield Pendant

“To the strength of the leather or metal of which it is made, the shield magically adds the strength of whatever is depicted upon it. In many cases the shield is, in fact, a representation of the universe, as if the warrior carrying it confronted his opponent with the cosmos. By its very nature, the shield possesses all the qualities for warding off evil.” 

This handcrafted shield, weathered and battle-worn, is intended to guard the heart of the wearer and guide them ever-back toward themselves. A natural teardrop of vesuvianite radiates its grounding and heart-centered energy to the wearer. Within the four quadrants of the shield rest two stems of handcrafted lily of the valley, along with a brass sun and crescent moon. These symbols call to the cycles of light and dark and the never ending process of becoming, rendering this shield the ultimate armor for shadow work and self-actualization. This piece has been blackened and polished to appear as a magical artifact, and a plaque with my maker's mark adorns the back.
