Ancient Spiral Pendants

A most ancient magic spirals through these Celtic triple knot pendants. On one of these handcrafted sterling silver talismans, four amethysts represent the realms of earth, sea, and sky, with spirit in the center. The triple spiral, or triskele, is thought to have potentially been a protective good luck charm and solar symbol for the ancient Celts, a purpose I’ve incorporated into this piece. A crescent moon, sun, and star float serenely among the three spirals, an embrace from the cosmos. On the other pendant, a natural rosecut iolite sparkles in the center of a triquetra. Slices of iolite were used by Vikings to reduce the sun’s glare and aid in ship navigation, and as such, it has symbolic power as a spiritual compass. Three spirals grow from each corner of the triquetra, representing the many paths open to us on the journey of inner evolution and expansion. These necklaces were given an ancient and weathered texture, to appear as if they were plucked from the cloak of a Druid or lifted from a page of an illuminated manuscript. I crafted them as odes to the ancient magic that influences us to this day. They each feature my maker's mark and .925 for sterling on the back.
