This entirely handcrafted sterling silver bouquet is intended to serve the wearer as a talisman of strength in times of upheaval and transformation. 

We begin with poppy, a flower with deep connections to the cycle of death and rebirth. In Greek mythology, Persephone tends to a garden of eternally blooming poppies during her dark days in the Underworld, and she is sometimes depicted as rising from the Underworld with armfuls of this flower. Poppies were used in an Ancient Greek potion to chase away sorrows, and to this day they are thought to provide emotional support during the trials of shadow work. 

Thistle is a plant of perseverance and strength. It invokes ancestral guidance, provides great protection, and brings integrity to all matters. Infamous for its prickly and defensive nature, thistle is heavily associated with boundaries, and is an ideal plant ally and guide for those who struggle to maintain boundaries of their own.

Finally, lily of the valley takes center stage, with its bright and childlike spirit. This flower provides comfort to weary hearts and serves as a reminder that happiness will always return. It is a flower of new beginnings and hope, yet its poisonous qualities remind us to protect our energy. 

These three symbolically potent plants combine in this pendant to provide comfort in the darkness, the courage necessary to maintain boundaries, and the confidence that transformation and new beginnings are on the horizon. A pool of honey-colored tourmaline hangs beneath this handmade bouquet, a stone of healing and creativity, that connects the wearer to their higher self. It hangs from 18 inches of sterling chain, with a tag featuring my maker's mark hanging from the clasp region. This piece has been blackened and selectively polished to highlight the details.
