*Please note there is a barely perceptible flaw on the front of the stone (see fourth photo). This was not caused by damage, it is simply a naturally occurring divot in the material.
This hollow pumpkin vessel was constructed entirely by hand. It was inspired by the tradition of carving pumpkins on Halloween, which was brought to America by Irish immigrants who would carve turnips for Samhain. A faceted citrine sparkles below a handmade pumpkin leaf and is framed by twirling vines. Gloriously dark smoky quartz points spring forth from the pumpkin, radiating their energy to the wearer. This piece is an ode to my Irish heritage, a celebration of Samhain and its influence on modern Halloween, and a tribute to my ancestors who fought countless battles so that I may be here today. It is a talisman for the dark half of the year and a reminder that light and abundance always return. A darkened finish echoes the mood of this most magical symbol, and my maker's mark and .925 for sterling adorn the back.
