Persephone's Diadem Ring - Size 7 1/2 - Descent of Persephone Collection, Vol. V
*AS ANNOUNCED ON MY IG, ALL ORDERS FROM THIS COLLECTION WILL SHIP TUESDAY 10/15.*
I handcrafted this piece to capture the enchanting duality of the goddess Persephone. As both the Queen of the Underworld and a harbinger of spring, Persephone simultaneously represents darkness and light, desolation and fertility, royalty and nature. She is at once a captive and a ruler, a child of Earth and a divine figure. Her mythological narratives influenced each choice in this ring, from the floral yet regal borders, to the hand-cut oak leaves, to the glossy high quality garnets that are ever so reminiscent of the pomegranate seeds central to Persephone's story. This sterling silver piece, steeped in mythological inspiration and complex design, is meant to serve as a diadem for the hand. My maker's mark and .925 for sterling adorn the underside of the ring, which sits atop a triple split band. This piece has been blackened and polished to the finish of an ancient artifact.
