I created this cuff in homage to the Greek goddess Persephone and her yearly descent to the underworld. It features the highest quality petrified palm root with swirling gray-blue opalized sections, flecks of pyrite, internal druzy that glitters subtly through the surface, and split coloring that echoes the duality and balance so inherent in Persephone’s myth. Sterling crescent moons flank the main stone, incorporating the cycles of life and death, waxing and waning, and the divine feminine. They are adorned with oak leaves to signal the start of fall marked by Persephone’s descent, and garnets to signify the pomegranate seeds which initially sealed her fate. My maker's mark and .925 for sterling adorn the underside of the main stone setting, and the piece has been given a matte finish to echo the mood of the myth.
-- Details -- Total cuff length is 5 3/4 inches plus a 1 inch gap. For my shop, this is considered a size small to medium, but I recommend measuring your wrist to be sure. Slightly adjustable. Sterling silver. Cuff face measures 2 1/2 inches tall. Natural garnet. Natural petrified palm root. You will receive the pictured cuff.
*TO PUT ON CUFF: Please roll opening over your wrist, starting from the thumb side of your wrist and rolling the opening across the top. Do not pull ends of cuff away from each other, as this will mar the shape of the bracelet.
