Sparkling natural teardrop and marquise garnets rest within sterling silver handmade pomegranates in these symbolically potent pendants. This design is an ode to the fruit that sealed Persephone’s fate, that bound her to the underworld for a fraction of each year, and initiated her journey as Queen. The pomegranate was double-edged nourishment found in the heart of darkness. It tethered Persephone to the shadows, yet ultimately set the stage for her to step into her fullest power. My maker's mark and .925 for sterling adorn the back of each of these lightweight yet substantial charms, and they've been blackened and selectively polished to echo the mood of the myth.
