Bealtaine Cauldron Pendant ✦ 18 Inches ✦ Bealtaine Collection
A cauldron for Bealtaine, the ancient Irish pagan fire festival that ushers in the summer. A drop of Baltic amber sits front and center on this handmade sterling vessel. The stone glows like the flames of Bealtaine bonfires as they dance in the summer sun. Handmade primroses bloom alongside the amber. These flowers were thought to protect homes, cattle, and people from the Fae on Bealtaine, when the veil between worlds was thin. Triple-spirals, adorned with an ancient texture like the Neolithic sites on which they’re carved, swirl beneath each flower and embody the cycles of life, death, and rebirth. A crescent moon crowns the scene, nodding to the divine feminine and further incorporating the phasic nature of all things. Seven stunning smoky quartz points burst forth from within the cauldron, radiating their grounding and protective energies to the wearer. This piece is an ode to the ancient Irish customs of my ancestors and is meant to serve the wearer as a source of inspiration, protection, and perseverance through energetic ebbs and flows. My maker's mark and .925 for sterling adorn the back, and the entire piece has been blackened and polished for the appearance of a recently unearthed ancient relic.
