Cailleach's Armor Cuff ✦ 5 11/16 Inches + 1 Inch Gap ✦ The Age of the Cailleach Collection
Entirely handmade sterling triquetra knots wrap around the wrist in a protective embrace, in this cuff created in homage to the most ancient Celtic winter goddess and giantess, the crone of all crones, The Cailleach. The Cailleach emerges on the Final Harvest at Samhain, when the last stalks of wheat are cut from the land by so many curved blades of scythes. Handmade scythes and wheat adorn each knot and allude to this moment that her reign begins. The Cailleach brings to the earth the dark half of the year. She is a goddess of transitions, and as such is the perfect guide and protector on our own journeys both inward and outward. In the center of this cuff, a marquis cut moonstone glows blue like The Cailleach’s icy skin, and embodies the divine feminine associations of this figure. I created this piece to harness the protection, magic, and wisdom of The Cailleach, to serve the wearer as armor, and to remind them of their own inherent power. My maker's mark and .925 for sterling adorn the underside of the stone setting. The entire cuff has been blackened and polished to appear as an ancient artifact plucked from the frozen earth.
-- Details -- Total cuff length is 5 11/16 inches plus a 1 inch gap. For my shop, this is considered a size small/medium, but I recommend measuring your wrist to be sure. Slightly adjustable. Sterling silver. Natural moonstone. Cuff face measures 2 1/4 inches at tallest point. You will receive the pictured cuff bracelet.
*TO PUT ON CUFF: Please roll opening over your wrist, starting from the thumb side of your wrist and rolling the opening across the top. Do not pull ends of cuff away from each other, as this will mar the shape of the bracelet.
